Just like having a screw and a screwdriver, if you don't have the right screwdriver for the screw, it will be tough to execute. So what types of tools are you going to need?
You can expect to pay $350/month on the low end to get started with all of these tools. On the higher end, depending on how much automation, how many team members, and advanced features you may need, you can find yourself investing $800+/month. Our company, Builder Funnel, uses these same tools to grow our business, spending $800 a month.

If you're looking for a comprehensive campaign, our services start at $2,500/month. A typical client of ours is spending anywhere from $2,500/month to $8,000/month. The spend is all dependent on your specific goals and objectives which will, in turn, change out the activities we build into our customized plans.

Today, you can spend money in a lot of different places, but two of the most effective and profitable channels are Google and Facebook. This would be Google AdWords on Google and Facebook Boosts and Facebook Advertising on Facebook. Both channels allow for re-targeting, which means you can display ads to people that have been to your website or visited a specific page.
You can get away without spending money on ads today, but note that you'll be playing the long game. There's nothing wrong with that. However, in today's environment, it's a good idea to at least be spending $50-$100 to boost posts on Facebook at a minimum. On the high end, you can spend thousands or tens of thousands per month on Google and Facebook. Ad spend varies because it depends on your company size and goals.
However, a typical builder or remodeler producing $2.5M - $5M a year in revenue can expect to spend anywhere from $300/month to $2,000/month. Companies with annual revenues of over $5M can expect to spend anywhere from $1,000 - $5,000+/month.
If you're under $2.5M, you'll want to focus on one channel (Google OR Facebook, not both) and most likely spend a few hundred dollars/month. It will be tougher to find companies to help because management fees can often double your spend. For example, if you have a paid advertising budget of $350/month, you will also need to allocate somewhere between $400-$800/month for someone to manage those campaigns. At this level, you may be better off using a freelancer or consider self-implementation.
Paid advertising is a viable source of traffic and lead generation. Our company utilizes paid advertisements each month, typically spending between $500-$600/month.
All in, on the low end, you can expect to spend about $3,000/month for technology, services, and ad spend. On the higher end, you'll be looking at about $15,000/month for technology, services, and ad spend.
Our typical remodeling clients are doing $2.5M - $10M in sales and our typical builder clients are doing $10M - $75M in sales. These ranges should help give you a sense of whether we might be a good fit to work together.
